Communications: All communications regarding the submission of your qualification proposal are to be in writing directly to the E-mail address: psmith@palestine-tx.org After your response to this RFP is submitted, the city will present to the City Council the final price, which may be awarded on Tuesday, October 10, 2023. Proposed renovation shall include, but is not limited to, removal of current pool plaster, replastering the existing pool, upgrading the lights to LED, replacing skimmers, replacing the tile located under the coping, filling in all joints on pool deck, and upgrading the pump room from residential pumps to a commercial pump. Project shall include permits, labor, materials, equipment, supplies and any incidentals necessary to complete the pool renovations. Upon completion of upgrades the contractor will be responsible for filling, equipment activation, and proper balancing of swimming pool water chemistry. The city reserves the right to reject any proposals, request additional information concerning any proposals for clarification, and waive any irregularities and informalities in the submittal and evaluation process. The City of Palestine is a home rule city located in Anderson County with a population of approximately 18,544 per the 2020 U.S. Census estimate. The city operates under a CouncilManager form of government with a mayor, six (6) council members, and a city manager. The council members are elected from single member districts, with the mayor elected as large. The city manager is the chief executive officer of the city. It is the city manager's duty to execute and implement policies as established by the City Council
