The Town of Weymouth, Massachusetts, acting through its Department of Public Works, invites sealed bids for Middle Street Turn Lane and Libbey Parkway Sidewalk, in accordance with the Contract Documents prepared by BETA GROUP, INC., 89 Shrewsbury Street, Suite 300, Worcester, Massachusetts, 01604. The location, general characteristics, and principal details of the Work are presented in contract documents entitled Middle Street Turn Lane and Libbey Parkway Sidewalk The work in this Contract includes, but is not strictly limited to, roadway widening, pavement milling and resurfacing, construction of new cement concrete sidewalks, construction of wheelchair ramps, installation of new granite curb, installation and adjustment of drainage structures, traffic signal modifications, installation of Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacon (RRFB), construction of a modular block retaining wall and restoration of disturbed areas along Middle Street and Libbey Parkway in the Town of Weymouth, MA. The bid includes Additive Bid No.1 for construction of a modular block wall and related work adjacent to the parking lot of 944 Middle Street. Bids shall be on a Unit Price basis. Time for Completion for this project shall be 240 consecutive calendar days from the date stipulated in the Notice to Proceed to commence the Work.
