Rehabilitation of Bridges 229 and 272 of the Kipling Avenue and Islington Avenue structures over the Gardiner Expressway. TIMELINE: Notice of Intended Procurement from Civil Engineering services has been issued by the owner. A Request For Proposals will be issued October, 2023 for Engineers to provide Detailed condition assessment, preliminary design and detailed design for the rehabilitation of the Kipling Avenue and Islington Avenue structures over the Gardiner Expressway (Bridge IDs 229 and 272). Coordination of the traffic management and construction staging plans for the rehabilitation of the Kipling Avenue and Islington Avenue structures with the rehabilitation of three (3) additional bridges being designed by others: Gardiner Expressway over Mimico Creek; Gardiner Expressway over Park Lawn Road; and Gardiner Expressway Westbound On-Ramp over Mimico Creek (Bridge IDs 416, 417, and 423). Design support during construction. Any questions about this transition should be directed to City Bids at: citybids@toronto.ca. Contract Duration will be from 2024 to 2026. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
