**As of October 23, 2023, project was awarded to Sullivan & McLaughlin Companies, awarded amount is $408,627.17. ** Design and installation of an upgraded network in support of high-capacity guest access for their campground and business users. The network shall be based on a fiber optical network and upgraded WI-FI access points to replace existing outdoor wireless mesh network throughout the Bourne Scenic Park Campground. Estimated Cost : $250,000 The existing network is based around point-to-point wireless backhauls & currently has speed & coverage limitations. The high-level project goals in delivering a new fiber backbone with new AP's is as follows: 1 Provide faster & more robust backbone connectivity allowing faster client access & additional client capacity; Connecting the two internet points of presence (PoP) using a ring configuration for redundancy & ease of management; Allowing for future technologies to be added to the infrastructure including, but not limited to, cameras, access control & entertainment/streaming devices; & Providing additional locations for access points so wireless coverage can be extended into sections of the Park with limited wireless services today.
