Plans with the location of the drainage with details accompany this specification. Question Deadline 09/15/2023 Requests for clarifications should be e-mailed to: bartrodi@hotmail.com All work must be performed in compliance with the New York State Building Code, AASHTO Requirements, manufacturer's specifications, and according to good industry and standard practices. A drawing showing the general location of the retaining wall to be replaced is included as part of the specification - Excavate as required to safely remove soil to install the trench drain and drainage ditch. Do not disturb the sewer line that runs below the excavation. This must be done with minimal disturbance to the grade on the high side of the proposed drainage ditch. - Install the new concrete trench drain with associated reinforcing steel. - Install filter fabric and crushed stone. -Install compacted gravel. -Install fiberglass grates -Attached east end of the trench drain to the existing 18" HDPE drainage pipe. -Properly backfill to the trench drain and grade the surface to preconstruction condition. -Install new concrete drainage ditch base with associated reinforcing steel. -Install stones on the side walls of the drainage ditch. -An approved testing company must obtain samples (cylinders) to analyze for conformation of the concrete strength for both the trench drain and the drainage ditch base.
