Notice is hereby given that Kennett Township ("the Township", "the Owner") will accept sealed proposals for the Greenway Trail Along Chandler Mill Road - Phase 1 between Hillendale Road and Buck Toe Road in Kennett Township, Chester County, PA. All proposals (bids) are to be accompanied by a bid bond or certified check in the amount of 10% of the total bid. The Township reserves the right to waive any minor informalities, irregularities or defects in the bid; or to reject any or all of the bids. The successful Bidder must comply with the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act. Any Bidder to be acting as the Prime Contractor is required to establish proof of competency and responsibility, in accordance with 67 PA Code Chapter 457, Regulations Governing Pre-qualification of Prospective Bidders and PennDOT Form 408/2020, as supplemented and amended, Section 102. Any bidder to be acting as the Prime Contractor must be PennDOT pre-qualified as the same. All bidders and subcontractors must demonstrate relevant experience with the Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction work they are to perform, including but not limited to earthwork, paving, streambank stabilization, green infrastructure, stormwater management, non-native invasive species management, reforestation, erosion & sediment control, specialty ecosystem seeding, and native roadside plantings. The prime contractor shall submit documentation for all subcontractors demonstrating the successful completion of at least 3 projects of similar size, contract value and scope within the past 5 years for their respective work items including references for those projects. All subcontractors shall be approved by the Owner, prior to performing any work onsite. "This project was financed in part by a grant from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Commonwealth Financing Authority." Questions must be submitted via PennBid by September 19, 2023 at 12:00 PM.
