There will be no pre-bid conference for this project. LAST REQUEST FOR INFORMATION DUE: Wednesday, August 30, 2023, no later than 3:00 p.m., Prevailing Time The scope of this contract shall consist of design, fabrication and delivery of all components and hardware required for the erection of a pre-engineered, all bolted, prefabricated steel beam bridge superstructure. Item shall include girders/stringers, diaphragms, bearing devices with anchor bolts, expansion devices, guiderail system on the bridge, and all bolts and hardware necessary for the installation of these specifications. Supplier to furnish complete sets of stamped shop drawings and design calculations to the municipality for the structure 21 days after award. Contractor will complete the Work in accordance with the Contract Documents and will have eight (8) weeks to deliver. Bid bond or check for 10% of Base Bid Payable to the Owner. Project awardee is required to obtain a Performance Bond for 100% of the contract price, and a Payment Bond for 100% of the contract price. Bidders, to the greatest extent practicable, should provide a preference for the purchase, acquisition, or use of goods, products or materials produced in the United State (including, but not limited to iron, aluminum, steel, cement, and other manufactured products). Bidders are required to conform to all provisions of the Local Public Contracts Law, and the requirements of the Equal Employment Opportunities Act. Bidders should, to the greatest extent feasible, utilize Minority, and Women Business Enterprises (MBE/WBE) in its practice. This contract shall be subject to the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act (43 P.S. 165-1 et seq.; 34 Pa. Code 9.101 et seq) or federal Davis-Bacon and Related Acts (40 U.S.C.A.) may be applicable to this project. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days once filed with the Township. Jefferson Township reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informality or irregularities in the bids received.
