Question Deadline 10/24/2023 Piwai Well No. 3 was found to have a direct short to ground on the submersible motor, it is assumed that the pump did not suffer damage, verification of the status of the pump is required. The work entails removal and installation of a new 10 inch, 2-pole, 460V, 250 HP submersible motor that powers a 1050 gpm @ 660 ft TDH pump assembly; associated pump cable; 660 ft of 8 inch column pipe; four centralizers, three check valves; thirty three column couplings; and an 8" x 10" discharge head. Work will also consist of testing of the new submersible motor, attached pump assembly and associated appurtenances. A well completion report for the new equipment shall be submitted. The Department reserves the right to cancel this solicitation and to reject any and all offers in whole or in part, and waive any defects, when it is determined to be in the best interest of the Department, pursuant to HAR 3-122-96 and 3-122-97. All prospective Bidders must be currently licensed by the State of Hawaii, Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs, Division of Professional and Vocational Licensing In accordance with HRS Section 104-2 et seq., the Hawaii Director of Labor and Industrial Relations determines the prevailing wages applicable to the project. The wage rates are the minimum rates to be paid and may be revised. Contractors shall pay the applicable rates, as revised, at no cost to the Department. Contract Execution Period December 2023 -January 2024 A bid bond for the value of 5% of the total bid price shall accompany the bid. If the contract which is awarded exceeds $25,000 and is for construction, performance and payment bonds shall each be in an amount equal to one hundred per cent of the amount of the contract price.
