Notice is hereby given that bids will be accepted by the Medford School District at the Facilities/Purchasing Office, located at 900 Kenyon St., Medford, OR 97501 Medford School District 549C (District) is seeking written proposals from qualified providers who have an interest in providing Innovations Learning with a voice evacuation system that will be added to an existing Fire Alarm system The district reserves the right to (1) reject any Proposal not in compliance with all prescribed public bidding procedures and requirements, (2) to add to the price bid by nonresident bidders an increase equal to the percent preference that the nonresident bidders home state would give it's instate bidders, (3) to reject for good cause any or all Bids that are not in the best interest of the district, and (4) to reject any or all proposals, in whole or in part, to waive an informality and to delete items prior to making the award, whenever it is deemed in the sole opinion of Medford School District to be in its best interest. The Medford School District, located in southern Oregon, isthe eighth (8th) largestschool district in the State of Oregon. The District boundary includes the town of Jacksonville, most of Medford, and a large portion of the unincorporated portion of Jackson County. The District consists of two (2) high schools, one (1) hands on learning, three (3) middle schools, one (1) K-8 school, thirteen (13) elementary schools, and four (4) charter schools. The district is seeking bids for a voice evacuation system added to an existing Fire Alarm system at Innovations Academy, our newest site. General Functional Requirements: Install a voice evacuation system. Integrate with current Notifier NFS-320 control panel. All Installation practices must follow NFPA and NEC requirements and guide lines. This project is subject to Prevailing Wage. General activities at site: There will be children at the site. If need be there would be access to the site after school hours. Night work could be an option if need be. System Expectations Provide a fully functioning fire alarm voice evacuation system. Provide as-built to include all new notification circuits and system wiring. Training School personnel and select others will need to be trained on how to use system.
