Prepare a Notice of Intent to Permanently Close-In-Place Hazardous Substance Underground Storage Tank System(s) in Tennessee and submit to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Region 4 office in Atlanta, Georgia. Contact EPA Region 4 to schedule a UST closure date. Place a Tennessee One Call at least three working days prior to UST closure activities. Contract a private utility locator to assess the excavation area (soil/backfill material over the top of the UST) for the presence of underground utilities and/or other identifiable obstructions. The work to be performed under these specifications shall consist of furnishing all materials, approved equipment, labor, and services required for 2023 UST Closure located at 298 Portland Lake Rd., Portland TN. UST ID 05-5830333 for the City of Portland, Tennessee, the Owner (no drawings included The City of Portland reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive irregularities in the bids and bidding deemed to be in the best interests of City of Portland, and to reject nonconforming, nonresponsive, or conditional bids Bidder must agree to commence work on or before the date specified in a written "Notice to Proceed" by the Owner, which will be issued after contract is signed, and to fully complete the project within the time limit specified in the proposal. Bidder must also agree to pay as liquidated damages, the sum of $300 for each consecutive calendar day thereafter as provided for in this document. completed within ninety (90) calendar days of Notice to Proceed.
