The bid opening date is now Wednesday November 1, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. The project includes demolition and removals, site preparation & grading, aggregate base, HMA paving, yard basins, storm sewer, sanitary lateral, water services, restroom building, in-line skating rink, sand volleyball courts, utilities, tennis court, basketball court, court color coating, universally accessible walks, benches, recycle bin, trash receptacles, bicycle racks, tree planting and slope restoration Prevailing wages are required as part of this project. Contractors performing work on the project must comply with all requirements of 1976 PA 453 (Elliott-Larsen Civil Rights Act) and 1976 PA 220 (Persons with Disabilities Civil Rights Act), as amended. For all further requirements regarding bid submittal, qualifications, procedures, and contract award, refer to the Instructions to Bidders that are included in the Bidding Documents. The City of McBain reserves the right to accept any bid, reject any or all bids, to waive informalities and make the award in any manner deemed in the best interest of the City of McBain. The conditions of employment and requirements of federal regulations include payment of prevailing wages, segregated facility, Section 3 HUD Act of 1968, (12 USC1701u) and its associated regulations (24 CFR Part 75), Section 109 of HCD Act of 1974, and Equal Employment Opportunity
