Construction of a new public transit terminal in Salaberry-de-Valleyfield between Buntin, May and Alphonse-Desjardins streets. The scope of the project includes construction of a building housing a ticket office, waiting area, public washrooms, administrative offices as well as a platforms for public transport. The project will also include landscaping work, installation of street furniture and equipment such as benches, shelters, bike racks, garbage cans, etc. The entire terminal will meet current standards for universal accessibility. TIMELINE: The owner has awarded an architectural professional consultant for the project design and construction work monitoring. Preliminary studies and conceptual planning are underway. Preliminary plans are expected to begin in late fall 2023. Working drawings are anticipated in early 2024. Timeline for a tender for the general contractor is being finalized.
