A timeline for award has not yet been established.** Construction of a new VFW building Contract Time: 480 Calendar Days Liquidated Damages: $500.00 per Calendar Day A Certified Check or Cashier's Check, payable to the City of Ruston or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and an acceptable surety, in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total bid, shall be submitted with each bid. Bidders are advised that both a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond, each in the amount of 100 percent (100%) of the Contract Price, will be required. The City of Ruston reserves the right to reject any or all bid proposals for just cause and reserves the right to waive any and all informalities. Only bids written in ink or type written and properly signed by a member of the firm or authorized representative will be accepted. Pencil figures or signatures will disqualify bid. Illegibility or ambiguity of a bid may constitute justification for rejection of the quote. The bid proposal shall be firm for a period of forty-five (45) days from the date of the opening of bids and no bid can be withdrawn for any reason during this period of time. The city of Ruston reserves the right to reject any and all bids for just cause and reserves the right to waive any and all informalities.
