The Jack Sheldon Park & Florin Creek Trail Improvements Project scope of work includes renovation of an existing 13.4-acre park including the demolition and removal of existing site features and furnishings including, but not limited to, concrete and various site paving, tennis courts, court lighting and equipment, bike path, and trees/shrubs. Once demolition is completed, the improvements as shown on the plans will include, but not be limited to, grading, drainage, irrigation, landscaping, concrete walkways, addition of ADA parking stalls, decomposed granite, concrete mow curbs, site furnishings including trash receptacles, picnic tables, and benches, replacement of existing drinking fountain, renovated tennis court including paving and fencing, refurbishment of existing bleachers, renovation of the bicycle path including paving, relocation of existing bike racks, chainlink fencing, interpretive stormwater signage, LED sport court lighting, and planted stormwater management/LID features. Work must be completed and paid for by the District prior to June 30, 2024 Each bid must be accompanied by a Bid Guaranty in the form of a Certificate of Deposit, Certified or Cashiers Check, Bidders Bond or Irrevocable Standby Letter of Credit, in an amount equal to at least ten percent (10%) of the Bidders Grand Total Bid Price. The Bid Guaranty will be retained by District and applied to any and all damages sustained by District in the event that the successful Bidder fails or refuses to enter into the Agreement awarded to it and to furnish all required bonds and Certificates of Insurance District intends to award the Agreement to the lowest responsive, responsible Bidder based on the Base Bid Price. To the extent allowed by law, District reserves the right to reject any and all bids and/or to waive any irregularities or informalities in any bid or in the bidding procedure. District specifically reserves the right to not award the Agreement after the opening of bids.
