Reference Number 0000254595 Question Deadline 09/03/2023 at 2:30 PM NT Bidders shall submit a Bid Bond of at least 10% of the Total Yearly Price as calculated in Schedules A-D if the amount is $25,000 or greater This section of the specifications outlines the technical requirements for removal and disposal of, in an approved manner, garbage and recycling from the buildings described in the Appendices located at the end of this document, and attached Schedules. The method of removal to be used is by the use of steel containers that the Contractor is to own and maintain. The sizes of each container required are outlined in the attached Schedules A, B and C (see document attached, NLESD-23-203 Garbage and Recycling Services- Schedules.xls). The Contractor shall supply all labour, materials and equipment necessary for the removal and disposal of garbage & recycling from the buildings identified in the attached appendices. The Contractor is responsible to have a backup truck to complete work, if necessary. The Contractor should visit each building prior to submitting his tender in order to determine the quantities of garbage & recycling to be removed and any other conditions affecting the work. Garbage & recycling shall be removed from each building with the number of collections per week being that which is outlined in the attached schedules. NOTE: If new schools are constructed or old schools are closed these schools will be added to or deleted from the contract. A Performance Bond may be required in the amount of up to fifty percent (50%) of the contract price. The Performance Security is to be received not later than one (1) week after the award of the contract by the Letter of Intent and prior to the formal execution of the agreement. No work is to be undertaken until the Performance Bond has been received. The Performance Bond can be waved at the discretion of the District. A Labour and Materials Payment Bond may be required in the amount of up to fifty percent (50%) of the contract price. The Labour and Materials Payment Bond is to be received not later than one (1) week after the award of the contract by the Letter of Intent and prior to the execution of the formal agreement. No work is to be undertaken until the Labour and Materials Security has been received.
