The contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, materials, and supervision and tools to perform construction services for the Shower Pan and wall tile demo and replacement at the Salt Lake City VAMC, located at 500 Foothill Drive, Salt Lake City, UT 84148. I. OF WORK: Furnish all necessary services, equipment, labor, materials, supervision, and remove the plumbing from the floor and wall. The contractor will demo the showers walls down to studs and remove the tile flooring down to concrete. The contractor will need to remove the existing drain system and all plumbing up to include the existing P-trap and replace with new. The contractor will seal the concrete with COR approve sealant. The contractor will install a waterproof membrane that reaches >16 inches around the shower area. This will need to be shown to the COR prior to covering. The contractor will till the floor in the VA supplied 2X2 tile. Repair the walls, and the contractor will order and install 1/4 Bone Corian solid surface from floor to ceiling. Patch and paint the ceiling and reinstall all handrails and plumbing. Seal the floor and turn over to the SLC VA after flood testing the shower areas for any leaks. The SLC VA will supply the 2X2 brown tile to the awarded contractor. The 2X2 tile is the only thing supplied by the VA, all other parts will need to be covered in the contract. These areas are in the Telemetry and ICU areas and the highest level of infectious controls will be required. Also, this is an area staffed with patients and staff 24/7 and the noise will need be at low level or in intermittent times. Long durations of loud noises will not be tolerated. All offerors are urged to contact the CVE and submit the required documents to obtain CVE verification of their SDVOSB status if they have not already done so In accordance with FAR 52.204-7, System for Award Management (SAM), Prospective contractors shall be registered in the SAM database prior to close of solicitation.
