Replace the existing multi-storey parkade dry fire sprinkler system with new, complete, operational and tested fire suppression systems as described herein, indicated on the drawings and in full conformance with applicable codes, standards and ordinances. The scope of fire suppression upgrade work generally includes: .1 Sprinkler Heads .2 Fire Suppression Piping .3 Fire Alarm Connections .4 Seismic Restraint .5 Hangers and Supports .6 Firestopping and Smoke Seal Systems Demolition and builderís work will include the following, but not limited to: .1 Demolition, painting, remediation, etc, as described in the specifications and on the drawings, to accommodate the Work. .2 Removal of existing equipment and disposal .3 Non-structural seismic protection Electrical work will require the following: .1 Fire alarm connections and operation. Reconnection to existing and reverification. .The fire protection contractor shall act as the Prime Contractor for this project, responsible for the coordination of all trades required to carry out the work as described herein. Only Inquiries received prior to the end of the day on November 3rd, 2023 will be addressed. Final clarification will be issued via addendum and directly to registered bidders. The work must attain Substantial Completion (as defined in the Builders Lien Act n 97% complete) no later than August 9th, 2024 .2 The Contractor must attain Total Completion by September 1st, 2024 Bids shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the BID price. Use Bid Bond form CCDC #220-2002. Provide a Performance Bond and a Labour and Material Payment Bond each in the amount of fifty percent (50%) of the Contract Price. Question Deadline 11/03/2023
