Sealed envelopes are to be marked "Sealed Bid for Alton Avenue Storm Sewer". Please contact QuestCDN at 952-233- 1632 or info@questcdn.com for assistance in free member- ship registration, downloading, and working with this digi- tal information. The work consists of installation of approximately 400 linear feet 12" storm sewer installed along local streets, and within private property easement via open cut and directional drilling methods, the installation of a 12" diameter flared end section, and the restoration associated with the project. All bids offered must be accompanied by bid security in the form of cash, certified check or bid bond made payable to the City of Prospect Heights in the amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the aggregate of the bid as a guarantee that if the bid is accepted, a contract will be entered into and the performance of the contract properly secured. State of Illinois, Department of Transportation, Contractor Pre-Qualification and Subcontractor Registration is required. The City of Prospect Heights reserves the right to accept or reject any bid, to award all or part of a contract, and to make such awards as are in the best interests of the City of Prospect Heights. Factors other than price which will be considered in awarding or rejecting bids shall include the results of reference contacts, and the quality of the bidder's performance on prior projects, if any, in the judgment of the City of Prospect Heights. All proposals submitted shall be valid for a period of 60 days. The successful bidder is required to pay the general prevailing wage for work under this Contract as ascertained by the Illinois Department of Labor, and shall submit certified payroll records, in compliance with the Prevailing Wage Act (820 ILCS 130) and the requirements of the Bidding Documents.
