The project to bid on requires a qualified masonry contractor to repair the exterior brick façade of the Sudler Building by removing and replacing damaged brick on the east, south, and north elevations of the building as noted on the contract documents. The contractor is required to repair and stabilize the exterior brick façade and add vertical/horizontal expansion joints. Due to expansion, stabilizing existing brick is required by installing restoration helical type anchors at specified spacings around the east, south and north elevations. Installing vertical expansion joints at the locations indicated on the contract documents is required to relieve horizontal stress caused by brick expansion. Installation of horizontal brick shelves at the floor levels, as shown on the contract documents, around the entire perimeter to relieve vertical stress caused by brick expansion is required as well. Period of this contract shall be for three (3) years renewable at the anniversary date of the contract for up to two (2) additional one (1) year terms if mutually agreed upon by both parties and subject to annual appropriations by the governing body.
