The primary goal of the Crown Land Wildfire Risk Reduction (CLWRR) program is to reduce the risk to communities by planning and investing in various fuel management activities on Crown land forests. These investments will result in communities that are better prepared and more resilient to wildfires and their impacts. This goal can only be achieved through integration, collaboration and co-ordination between Land Managers and the agency responsible for wildfire management, the BC Wildfire Service (BCWS). Wildfire fuel breaks are strategically located around communities. Treatments are prescribed according to the fuel levels within the fuel break. The goal is to change wildfire behavior to allow for suppression treatments in the event of a wildfire. The term of the contract will be from Contract Award to February 15th , 2024 Year 1 (FY24)- treating TU '2' and TU '3' (14.8 ha) Cost estimate $85,000 Year 2 (FY25)- treating TU '1' (34.5 ha) Cost estimate $115,000
