Work includes but is not limited to: demolishing and disposing of existing 11,000-gallon and 12,150-gallon polyethylene sodium hypochlorite (SHC) storage tanks, removing for salvage, and transporting a third 10,300-gallon polyethylene SHC storage tank to EBMUD's Oakport Storage Yard, located adjacent to the Oakport Wet Weather Facility (WWF), and demolishing and disposing of the associated piping and instrumentation associated with these SHC Tanks, as well as the three (3) reinforced concrete SHC tank foundations. Demolishing and disposing of approximately 200 linear feet of existing 3" CPVC temporary SHC feed system transfer pump discharge, and 6" PVC containment piping. Installing 3 new District-furnished 12,150-gallon fiberglass reinforced plastic (FRP) SHC storage tanks, concrete reinforced tank pads with a chemical-resistant coating, and associated piping and instrumentation. Piping work includes installing CPVC piping and associated valves and supports. Instrumentation work includes installing conduits and wiring, and radar-type level monitor elements and displays. An allowance is also included in the bid documents for work on locating and repairing leaks in the SHC tanks and pumps containment areas drain piping system, injection grouting cracks in the containment area slab, and recoating the containment area floor. Estimated Cost: $800,000 to $1,200,000 *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. A bidders bond for not less than 10% of the total bid dollar amount is required. Performance and payment bonds for not less than 100% of the contract price are required. All contract work shall be complete within 250 calendar days after receipt by the Contractor of the Notice to Proceed.
