The Federal Bureau of Prisons (FBOP) anticipates issuance of solicitation 15BFA023B00000042 for the award of a firm-fixed-price construction contract for a project entitled Replace Cooling Towers, at the Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) Greenville, located in Greenville, Illinois. FCI Greenville is a federally owned facility located at 100 U.S. Hwy 40 and 4th Street, Greenville, IL 62246. The project consists of the following: The contractor shall be responsible for removing and disposing of 2 existing cooling towers. Provide and install 2 new domestically sourced cooling towers with stainless steel basins. The Statement of Work/Specifications included with the solicitation will provide complete requirements for the project. The solicitation will be posted at a later date. Pursuant to Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 36.204, the estimated magnitude of the project lies between $250,000 to $500,000 (NOTE: This range is one of 8 available ranges from FAR 36.204 and is not meant to imply that the project has necessarily been estimated/budgeted to the maximum of the selected range. It merely conveys that the estimate/budget lies somewhere within that range.) The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code applicable to this requirement is 238220 (Plumbing, Heating, and Air-Conditioning Contractors) with a corresponding small business size standard of $19 million.
