Allows zero unit prices and labor No Allows negative unit prices and labor No Q & A Deadline 09/15/2023 04:37 PM EDT Kansas Turnpike Authority (KTA) is requesting digital bid proposals for furnishing all labor and materials and performing all work in accordance with the Plans and Specifications and other Contract Documents, known as KTA Contract No. 8044, Sumner County, Kansas. TYPE OF WORK: This work will include waterline improvements at MM 19. PRE-QUALIFICATION. Bids will only be accepted by Contractors that are pre-qualified by the Kansas Department of Transportation. Any questions or concerns can be directed to Laramie Turner at (785) 274-3651, or by e-mail, lturner@ksturnpike.com. All bids must submitted on Bid Express. All blank spaces for bid prices must be filled in, according to the directions on Bid Express, and the bid form must be fully completed and executed when submitted. Proposals must be accompanied by a bid bond in the amount of 5 percent of bid and made payable to the Kansas Turnpike Authority as guarantee that the bidder will enter into a contract and give a performance bond as required if awarded the contract. The award of each contract shall be in accordance with the provisions of the Standard Specifications of the Kansas Department of Transportation, edition of 2015, and will be based upon the summation of the products of the unit prices and the approximate quantities. The Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any irregularity therein, to determine which is the lowest responsible bid most suitable to the Authority.
