Scope of Services Howard County, Maryland (the "County") seeks a qualified firm (the "Contractor") to furnish reliable snow & ice removal services and application of deicing materials for sidewalks, stairs, landings, plazas, walkways, parking lots and roadway entrances to parking lots for County owned and leased buildings located throughout the County. Work is limited to sidewalks, parking lots, roadway entrances to parking lots and walkways adjacent to or near County owned or leased buildings. To minimize closings of County offices and disruption of services provided to the public, it is essential to provide high quality, prompt and ongoing snow and ice removal services at each of the County building locations. The County establishes a priority of completion listing for each of the building sites included in the snow and ice removal contract with an established completion time to allow timely opening of buildings. The goal of the County is to contract snow and ice removal services and application of deicing materials for two separate Snow Zones and award these to two separate and well qualified Contractors capable of performing these services in a responsible, efficient and timely manner.
