The County of Darlington is seeking proposals from qualified firms to replace the metal roof at the Mechanicsville Fire Station. The fire station was built in 2007 and the building is 2,800 square feet. The current metal roof is aging and needs to be removed and replaced. The contractor shall furnish a 5% bid bond for bids greater than or equal to $100,000. The contractor that the County intends to award shall supply a separate performance and payment bond. The bond shall be in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the price specified in the contract. Darlington County, South Carolina ) reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to award or refrain from awarding the contract for the work, to requestadditional information, and to interview, whichever is deemed to be in the Owner's best interests. All submittals shall become the property of the Owner and are subject to the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) regulations.
