Volpe National Transportation System Center (Volpe) operates the Aviation Weather Test Facility located at Building #2410 at Joint Base Cape Cod in Barnstable, MA. Testing of a new Runway Visual Range (RVR) instrument, the Vaisala FD70 forward scatter meter, is scheduled to start in the fall of 2023. In preparation for this, reinforced concrete foundations and associated infrastructure must be installed.
