Request for Designer Qualifications (RFQ) Town of Saugus, MA The Town of Saugus is seeking design services for the evaluation, design and construction related to the upgrading and/or providing a new Police, Fire and E911 communication system. The owner is requesting services of a Designer throughout evaluation, planning, bidding, construction, and final closeout of the project. The required scope of services is set forth in the Town of Saugus's Request for Qualifications. Selection of a Designer will be made by the Owner as set forth in the Selection Process and Selection Schedule included in the Request for Qualifications. A potential project may include replacement of or addition to the existing combined Police and Fire Station communication system located at 27 Hamilton Street in Saugus and several satellite repeater locations. Notice to Proceed with Designer services is anticipated in September 2023. The anticipated project duration including all design phases, bidding and construction completion is 14 months. The estimated construction budget for a potential Project is $1.2M depending upon the solution that is selected by the Owner. Specific professional qualifications required of applicants for the design contract are listed in the RFQ. Categories of work for which the Designer will be required to list subconsultants are also listed in the RFQ, Designer Application. The Fee for Basic Services will be negotiated. The RFQ may be obtained via email request to the Kevin Nigro knigro@pmaconsultants.com and Deborah Shaer dshaer@pmaconsultants.com on or after Wednesday, August 16, 2023. All written questions regarding the RFQ shall be directed to Kevin Nigro and Deborah Shaer at the emails provided. Deadline for questions is Friday, August 25, 2023 at 1PM.
