As of October 20, this project was awarded to Lynches River Contracting Inc. with the awarded amount of $3,054,081.64 Bids are invited on work consisting of, but not limited to reclamation with cement, asphalt milling, full depth patching and asphalt paving of several streets within the City of Monroe. Bids may be held by the City of Monroe for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days from the date of the opening of bids for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the qualifications of bidders, prior to awarding of the Contract. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informality in the bidding. This is a formal bid. A bid security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the contract sum shall be submitted with each bid. The bid security shall be in the form of a Cashier's Check or a Certified Check on a bank or trust company insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation made payable to the order of the City of Monroe. In lieu of a Cashier's Check or a Certified Check, the bidder may submit cash or a bid bond executed by a Corporate Surety licensed in North Carolina to execute such bonds. All bidders are hereby notified that they must have proper licenses as required by State law at the time of submittal of bids.
