Construct and install a 500,000-gallon multi-column elevated water storage tank off Barber Road with a submersible mixer and level control as well as 2,300 LF of 12-inch HDPE to the multicolumn water storage tank and 4,500 LF of 12-Inch ductile iron pipe on Preston Road (Route 164) and Barber Road with bridge crossing of I-395 to connect with the Jewett City Water Companys existing drinking water distribution system. It is the sole responsibility of the bidder to ensure that the bid is in the hands of the proper authority prior to the bid opening time. Alternate 2: Construct bituminous concrete driveway along slope of driveway up to the water tank site. Addenda, if issued, will be posted Electronically and shall be accompanied by e-mail notification to every individual or firm on record as having received the Bid Documents. It shall be the sole responsibility of the Contractor to ascertain the existence of any and all addenda. Hard copies of the addenda will not be mailed or faxed. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office. State Set-aside and Compliance :This contract is subject to state set-aside and contract compliance requirements. For all further requirements regarding bid submittal, qualifications, procedures, and contract award, refer to the Instructions to Bidders that are included in the Bidding Documents.
