Solicitation No: 36C25223B0026 Project: Roof Repairs - Bldgs 113,128, & 220 Project Number: 578-23-010 Location: Edward Hines Jr. VA Hospital in Hines, Illinois The Edward Hines Jr. VA Hospital has a requirement to replace the existing roof systems in buildings 113, 128, and 220 for approximately 27,000 square feet of roof space on building 113, approximately 53,500 square feet of roof space on building 128, and approximately 52,000 square feet of roof space on building 220. This includes removing the existing roofing system entirely, installing new roofing, and ensuring roofing is installed correctly around equipment, curbs, and parapet walls to prevent leaks. Estimated Period of Performance: Project duration is estimated at 385 calendar days from issuance of Notice to Proceed (NTP), anticipated to be divided into phases: NTP & Kick-off Meeting NTP + 30 calendar days Submittals & Mobilize to commence work on Bldg 113 work NTP + 83 calendar days Start Bldg 113 NTP + 214 calendar days Winter Break/Rainy Days NTP + 275 calendar days Start Bldg 128 NTP + 336 calendar days Start Bldg 220 NTP + 385 calendar days Complete Punchlist, As-builts, Training & Maintenance, Project Close-out The project magnitude price range is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) for this procurement is 238160 (Roofing Contractors); size standard $45 Million applies. The solicitation, including specifications and drawings, will be posted to Sam.gov (https://sam.gov) on or about August 30, 2023, with the bid opening on or about September 29, 2023. IAW FAR 36.213-2. The bidder is responsible to monitor and download any amendments from https://sam.gov which may be issued for this solicitation. Two Pre-bid conference/site walk-throughs will be scheduled, details to be announced in the solicitation. All prospective bidders are strongly encouraged to attend. Pursuant to Public Law 109-461, this solicitation will be issued as a 100% Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) set-aside. In accordance with VAAR 819.7003(b), at the time of submission of bid, the bidder must represent that it is a SDVOSB concern, a small business concern under the NAICS code assigned to the acquisition, and is CVE verified for eligibility in the VIP database.
