The work, along with all related construction, includes: 1) Milling to remove the existing asphalt pavement on Alabama Avenue (1475 LF) and Central Avenue (1375 LF), cleaning and crack sealing of the underlying concrete pavement, then repaving with BST, and asphalt surface course; 2) milling of the asphalt pavement on 8 other town streets totaling 9600 LF, repair of subgrade, then paving with asphalt surface course, and 3) replacing approximately 50 concrete handicap ramps and drive entrances in the downtown area. The bidder's attention is directed to the fact that all applicable state laws, municipal ordinances, and the rules and regulations of the authorities having jurisdiction over construction of the project shall apply to the contract throughout, and they will be deemed to be included in the contract the same as though written out in full. Contracts for work under this bid will obligate the contractor and subcontractors to comply with applicable state statutes and regulations concerning conditions of employment. Bidders must comply with the requirements of the NC Contractors Licensing Laws. The Town of Weaverville reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
