The Project will be located on a greenfield site owned by Fraser Health immediately adjacent to the Delta Hospital in the community of Ladner, in Delta, BC. Fraser Health approved a High Level Master Plan for the Delta Hospital campus site in 2012 which included the replacement of the Mountain View Manor care home. The Project will include replacement of the existing ninety-two (92) bed Mountain View Manor with a two hundred (200) single bed long-term care home which includes a Day Program for Older Adults (DPOA) for up to 32 clients and a stand-alone Child Daycare Space for up to 49 children, support services areas for food services, housekeeping, linen and laundry services, and washing equipment. Common areas include dining rooms, activity areas for programs, staff offices and support areas, and outdoor covered walkways and gardens. There are also transportation interfaces such as loading facilities, parking for staff, visitors, and HandyDART (the Project). The total area of the Project is estimated to be 15,328 m2. Fraser Health is taking a regional and portfolio approach to redevelopment of its existing long-term care homes and has developed a regional clinical plan and functional program for both long-term care and the DPOAs. The Project scope also includes a forty nine (49) space Child Daycare with a gross building floor area of approximately 750 m2. The successful Proponent is required to ensure that they will have sufficient capacity, dedicated manpower and resources to undertake the Project and deliverables to meet the schedule. Project duration is estimated at 55 months with a start date April 2023. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
