The Roanoke County School Board has received and accepted for publication and conceptual phase consideration an unsolicited proposal under the provisions of the Public-Private Education Facilities and Infrastructure Act of 2002, as amended (PPEA). The PPEA unsolicited proposal is for the Design and Construction to Renovate W.E. Cundiff Elementary and Glen Cove Elementary Schools and Construction of the New CTE Center. The Roanoke County School Board has determined that the use of competitive negotiation is likely to be advantageous to the school system and the public due to the following reasons: The extensive scope of the project includes the renovation of two buildings and the construction of a new CTE Center. The timeline to begin both renovations and construction of the new CTE Center is limited if the school system is to avoid possible price escalation. A fixed, limited budget has already been established. The entire project must be completed within the approved budget. Please direct any technical questions concerning the unsolicited proposal or questions about the submission of a competing proposal to Todd Kageals, Director of Facilities and Operations, by email, at tkageals@rcps.us. No additional proposals prepared in response to this PPEA public notice shall be accepted after this date and time. No fee shall be required for submission Copies of the unsolicited proposal are available for public inspection in the RCPS Facilities and Operations Office at 5937 Cove Rd., Roanoke, VA 24019, upon request, subject to the provisions of the Virginia Freedom of Information Act, the PPEA and the Guidelines. There is no budget beyond the $130,000,000
