Project Description: Project consists of complete removal and replacement of HVAC equipment per plans and specifications. Project Location: a. McKinley Middle School, 620 10th St. SE, Cedar Rapids, IA 52403 b. Roosevelt Middle School, 300 13th St. NW, Cedar Rapids, IA 52405 Bid Security shall be in the form of a cashier's check or certified check drawn on a bank in Iowa or a bank chartered under the laws of the United States of America, or a certified bank share draft drawn on a credit union in Iowa or chartered under the laws of the United States of America or a bid bond with corporate surety satisfactory to the Owner The bid security will be held by the Owner until a contract is fully executed and bonds are approved by the Owner Construction Contract: Bids will be received for the following Work: 1. General Contract (all trades) Successful bidder shall begin the Work on receipt of the Notice to Proceed and shall complete the Work within the Contract Time. Work to Begin on: June 1, 2024 or upon completion of the last day of school. Work Substantially Complete on or before: August 2, 2024. Final Project Completion on or before: September 27, 2024 The Owner seeks to provide opportunities for Targeted Small Businesses in the awarding of contracts and is authorized to award contracts to Targeted Small Businesses per the Iowa Acts of the 73rd General Assembly, 1989 Regular Session, Senate File 2274. For further information about the Targeted Small Business policies contact the Owner. This project has a target for Targeted Small Business participation of ten percent (10%). Bidder's Questions: Architect will provide responses at Prebid conference to bidders' questions received up to two business days prior to conference The Owner reserves the right to waive informalities or irregularities.
