This project consists of Milling, Fabric Installation, and Installation of 9.5 MM Wearing Course. Bids will be reviewed and recommended for award to the lowest qualified Bidder at the Public Meeting of Douglass Township, Berks County to be held at 7:00 P.M .prevailing time on September11, 2023. All Bidders who will be submitting Bids to the Township must register and purchase a complete set of the Bid Documents from Systems Design Engineering, Inc. Each bid must be accompanied by a Certified Check or Surety Companys Bid Bond on the form provided in the Bid Documents, naming as payee or Obligee, Douglass Township, Berks County in the amount of ten percent (10%)of the total bid submitted. The Surety Company must be acceptable to the Township. All Contracts exceeding $10,000.00 shall be performed in compliance with Executive Order 11246, entitled, Equal Employment Opportunity, as amended by Executive Order11375 and as supplemented in Department of Labor regulations (41 CFR Part 60). In addition, all Contractors shall comply with the Nondiscrimination/Sexual Harassment Clause as required by Pennsylvania Executive Order2016-05. Wages paid are subject to the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act approved August 15, 1961,P.L. 987 as amended and supplemented. The Pennsylvania Human Relations Act of 1955,P.L. 744, No. 222, as amended June 25,1997 by Act 34 of 1997,43 P.S. 951-963, shall apply to this Contract if the bid cost is more than $100,000.00. The Bidder and all subcontractors must be prequalified by PennDOT for the type of project work specified in order to bid the project, and prequalification certificates must be submitted by the Bidder and all subcontractors. Douglass Township, Berks County, reserves the right to waive any informalities in, or to reject any or all bids, and to delete any item or portion of an item without affecting the bids on the remaining items or portion of items.
