The Town of Bloomfield, Connecticut invites bids from qualified bidders for replacing the existing sidewalk and installing a new underdrain and performing necessary related work on a portion of Florence Road. The general scope of work for the project includes removing the existing sidewalk, bituminous curbing, and portions of existing driveways as necessary, installing new sidewalk and driveway patch, installing new perforated underdrain pipe, connecting the existing yard drains to the underdrain, installing pipe stubs from the underdrain to grade, installing new concrete accessible sidewalk ramps and detectable warning strips, installing new bituminous curbing, and restoring and establishing turf for all areas disturbed by work, all as per the Contract Documents. Contractor shall furnish bonds and insurance certificates as specified below, or as otherwise agreed to in the Contract. In addition, provide bonds or insurance as required by law and the General Conditions of the Contract for Construction, AIA Document A201,1997 edition. Questions regarding this bid may be directed to nhaynes@bloomfieldct.org no later than August 28, 2023 at 4:00 pm EST The successful bidder will be responsible for paying prevailing wages, as determined by the Connecticut Department of Labor, and attached hereto, pursuant to CGS 31-53. The Town of Bloomfield reserves the right to reject any and all bids, in whole or in part, and to waive any informality or technical defects if, in its judgment, the best interests of the Town will be served.
