Job Location: On M-46 (Elm Street to Williams Street) 0.53 miles, City of Saginaw, Saginaw County. POB - 67' West of Centerline of Elm Street POE - 100' East of Centerline of Williams Street Project Schedule: Work may begin immediately after receiving approval from MDOT. Work to be completed between August 15, 2023, to September 25, 2023. Once work starts, must be completed in 5 consecutive days. Notice must be provided to Dan Senske at 989- 233-1053 a minimum of three (3) calendar days prior to beginning work. Description of work: The work shall consist of 0.53 miles of 2" Cold Milling HMA Surface, 2" HMA Paving of 4 lanes and pavement markings. Work shall include milling off and repaving HMA above curb and gutter. (HMA, 5EML, High Stress: PG 64-28, AWI: 260) Maintaining Traffic: Traffic control devices and equipment will be supplied and laid out by the contractor and should be maintained per typical m0240a and m0270a. Work on Saturdays and Sundays will be at the Engineers discretion and require preapproval. Traffic may not drive on milled surfaces. Crossroads and driveways will remain open to traffic at all times. Any flag operations/lane closures shall have a 1-mile maximum limit, or as directed by Engineer. This project is a Maintenance funded project, which means that there will be absolutely no overpayment or extras. All material, labor and mobilization shall be included in the bid. MDOT will have the low bid reviewed and approved for funding. MDOT reserves the right to reject any bid that appears to be unqualified. Before award, MDOT may request a site plan review meeting with the low bid contractor. The improvements will be done in accordance with the Michigan Department of Transportation 2020 Standard Specifications for Construction.
