The work shall include removal of approximately 460 LF of 4-inch asbestos cement water main, installation of a temporary water main and installation of a new 8-inch ductile water main on Tacoma Boulevard between 4th Avenue South and 5th Avenue NW. The Work shall be substantially complete within 35 working days after the commencement date stated in the Notice to Proceed. All bidding and construction is to be performed in compliance with the Contract Provisions and Contract Plans for this project and any addenda issued thereto that are on file at the office of the City Clerk, City Hall, Algona, Washington. Bidders are encouraged to register in order to receive automatic email notification of future addenda and to be placed on the Bidders List. For assistance, please call (206) 284-0860. Contract questions shall be directed only to the office of the Project Engineer. Financing of the Project has been provided by City of Algona, Washington and the Washington State Community Development Block Grant program with federal funds provided by the U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development. Neither the State of Washington nor any of its departments or employees are, or shall be, a party to any contract or any subcontract resulting from this soliciation for bids. All work performed on this project will be subject to the higher of the prevailing state or federal David-Bacon wage rates. The City of Algona expressly reserves the right to reject any or all Proposals and to waive minor irregularities or informalities in any Proposal.
