Sealed proposals for the Graves County Water District 2023 Water Tanks Rehabilitations project The above designated work shall include the following described construction: Rehabilitation of the Hickory 500,000-gallon elevated water storage tank (Base Bid) shall include blasting and painting of the interior and exterior of the tank, and miscellaneous repairs and modifications. In addition to the Base Bid, there are three (3) additive alternate bid items for painting and rehabilitation to additional water storage tanks. It shall be noted that the Fancy Farm 100,000 Gallon Water storage tank has an existing lead-based coating. The contractors bid shall include the work required for removal, containment, and disposal of lead based debris associated with this project according to governing regulations. The successful bidder shall be required to fully complete all work within 90 consecutive calendar days from and including the date to start work established in a written order from the Mayfield Electric and Water Systems. If the Additive Alternate portion(s) of the project is authorized by the Owner, then the successful bidder shall be required to fully complete all work for the Base Bid and Additive Alternate(s) within and agreed to time extension established in a written order from the Owner. The Graves County Water District reserves the right to reject any proposal or waive any informalities at its discretion. The Graves County Water District further reserves the right to reject all proposals. Questions regarding documents, discrepancies, omissions, or intent of the Specifications or Drawings shall be submitted in writing to the Owner through the Engineer. Any interpretation of the Contract Documents will be made only by addendum duly issued or delivered by the Owner to each person receiving a set of documents. The Owner will not be responsible for any other explanations or interpretations of the Contract Documents.
