100 KW generator and 800 AMP automatic transfer switch. The generator shall be Kohler, Cummins, Winco, Caterpillar, Generac, or approved equal quality and standards. The fuel type of the generator shall be diesel fuel. Prior to bidding, interested bidders will be required to visit the site and confirm sizing requirements of the proposed generator according to load demand. The project will also include the installation of a concrete pad that will need to comply with the manufacturer's requirements for the generator. Bids will be received for a single prime contract. Bids must be separated into three line items: generator/transfer switch, labor, and materials. Make bids on all items of Work. One contract will be awarded. The Contractor may begin construction upon execution of the Notice to Proceed (NTP) with a Substantial Completion date of June 30, 2024, as shown in the NTP. Final payment will be made upon final acceptance of the Work. Submit a Bid Bond with each Bid in accordance with the Bidding Documents. The Bid Bond will be a certified or cashier's check payable to the Owner, drawn on a solvent Iowa bank or a bank chartered under the laws of the United States, or a certified share draft drawn on a credit union in Iowa or chartered under the laws of the United States, in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the Bid, or a Bid Bond executed by a corporation authorized to contract as a Surety in the State of Iowa, in the penal sum of five percent (5%) of the Bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish bonds and insurance, in accordance with Article 6 of the Contract for Construction of a Small Project, when the Contract is delivered to the Owner.
