The Town of Somerville is seeking sealed bids from paving companies who are interested in contracting with the Town for the FY22 Road Paving Project. The Project shall include milling of any town road which has curb and gutter, repairing any areas that require it before paving can take place, preparing the current surface and resurfacing the designated roads with a 1.5-inch layer of compacted hot mix asphalt paving. The Project shall be awarded, subject to budget considerations, to the lowest best evaluated bid, and the Town's evaluated decision shall be final. It is the policy of the Town of Somerville that all Townsponsored public meetings and events are accessible to people with disabilities. If you need assistance in participating in this meeting or event due to a disability as defined under the ADA, please call the Town's ADA Coordinator at (901) 465-7300 at least three (3) business days prior to the scheduled meeting or event to request an accommodation The work is generally described as repairing/rehabilitating base and paving of certain Town streets for which the Contractor shall furnish all labor and materials necessary to facilitate a finished product as described in the Contract documents. The Contractor shall also provide a one-year warranty on all materials and workmanship, which shall commence upon final acceptance of the work by the Town. The warranty shall be secured by Bond, which shall not be released until the Town and the Contractor conduct a final inspection of the project on the oneyear anniversary date at which time the Town is satisfied that the project is in satisfactory condition and accepts it for maintenance.
