**As of October 12,2023, project was awarded, start date is Mid of November and will be completed by end of this year** The project scope of work includes pressure washing all of the concrete pedestrian walkways, drive turnouts, curbing, intersection pavers and pedestrian crosswalk pavers on both sides the Park Avenue. Additionally, there is a paver detail to include a new paver strip in the existing sidewalks, both at an approximate 20' interval. The project may require the addition, pruning and/or, where necessary, removal of existing landscapes in accordance with the new landscape design and will include new landscape plantings. While there is an existing irrigation system along Park Avenue, the project scope work requires the bidder to provide the required design/build expertise and system modifications to ensure that all landscape materials, both existing and new are provided with adequate irrigation. The bidder shall visit the site to examine the condition of the existing irrigation system in order to assess any work that add or modify the existing system as necessary to ensure proper irrigation coverage of all existing and new plant materials. Bids shall be prepared, addressed and submitted in compliance with detailed instructions as set forth in the Instructions to Bidders The Town of Lake Park reserves the right to reject any or all Bids in whole or in part, with or without cause, to waive irregularities, variances, deviations, technical errors and informalities to the extent permitted by law, or to accept the Bid which in its judgment best serves the public interest. For bid proposal pricing exceeding one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000.00) a Bid Bond in a sum not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid, made payable to the Town of Lake Park, shall accompany each Bid as a guarantee that the bidder will not withdraw from the competition after the opening of Bids. PHASE 3, to be bid on a later date, will continue the streetscape enhancement starting at the 10th Street & Park Avenue intersection and extending north to Northern Drive. The Phase 2 enhancement includes a total of about 5 blocks along the 10th Street corridor. The purpose of this project is to provide residents, businesses and visitors with refreshed and improved streetscape aesthetics along two of the Town's major downtown corridors.
