Furnishing and delivery of Medium-Voltage Vacuum Interrupter Switchgear equipment. The Early Work includes preparation of shop drawings, coordination with Engineer and Owner, and Balance of Work including coordination with an Installation Contractor who will install the equipment under a separate contract, field testing, startup, operation and maintenance manuals, and training services. Only prequalified Medium-Voltage Vacuum Interrupter Switchgear equipment manufacturers will be allowed to bid under this contract. Equipment supplied under this contract shall be delivered on or before dates as set forth in the Agreement. All other equipment to be installed under a separate contract shortly thereafter. The bid bonds must be payable to the City of Burnsville in the amount of five percent (5%) of the amount of bid, to be forfeited as liquidated damages in the event that the bid is accepted and the bidder shall fail to promptly enter into a written contract and furnish the required bond. Bidders shall comply with responsible contractor and non-collusion requirements as outlined in the Bid Form. The City of Burnsville reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive informalities, and to award the bid in the best interest of the City. No bids may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days. All questions regarding the project shall be directed to Black & Veatch, Attn: Robert Johnston, (952) 896-0500. Bids will be received on a lump sum basis for all Bidders responsive to Bidding Requirements. The Successful Bidder will be required to furnish a Procurement Performance Bond and a Procurement Payment Bond as security for the faithful performance and the payment of all bills and obligations arising from the performance of the Contract.
