The City of Independence, Kansas will receive sealed bids for the purchase of construction materials for Water Transmission Line Improvements 2023 Major items of work - Furnishing and delivering construction materials including: 100 L.F. of 12" DR 9 DIPS HDPE, 1,750 L.F. of 14" DR 9 DIPS HDPE, 46,250 L.F. of 14" DR 11 DIPS HDPE, 1-10" Gate Valve, 4-12" Gate Valves and 12-14" Butterfly or Gate Valves. 14" valves will be bid as butterfly or gate alternates. Two materials contracts will be bid and awarded. Bidders may bid on any or all of the separate material contracts. Pipeline construction scheduled to begin November 2023. Davis Bacon Wage Determination - Does not apply to material procurement only contracts. Domestic Preference - AIS and BABAA are not applicable to this project. Owner reserves the right to waive irregularities and to reject bids.
