GENERAL This contract provides for the rehabilitation of existing 4'', 6'', 8'', 10'' and 12'' sanitary sewer lines throughout the City of West Orange for Orange County WCID No. 2. This project will be funded by TWDB. This contract shall provide for the necessary labor, equipment, tools, materials, and all other related construction for the proposed project. SUMMARY OF WORK Base Bid The Contractor shall rehabilitate approximately 722 linear feet of 4'' sanitary sewer lines by pipe bursting with 6'' SDR-17 HDPE sewer line, all in accordance with the plans and specifications. The Contractor shall rehabilitate approximately 4636 linear feet of 6'' sanitary sewer lines by pipe bursting with 8'' SDR-17 HDPE sewer line, all in accordance with the plans and specifications. The Contractor shall rehabilitate approximately 1909 linear feet of 8'' sanitary sewer lines by pipe bursting with 10'' SDR-17 HDPE sewer line, all in accordance with the plans and specifications. The Contractor shall rehabilitate approximately 315 linear feet of 10'' sanitary sewer lines by pipe bursting with 12'' SDR-17 HDPE sewer line, all in accordance with the plans and specifications. The Contractor shall rehabilitate approximately 714 linear feet of 15'' sanitary sewer lines by pipe bursting with 18'' SDR-17 HDPE sewer line, all in accordance with the plans and specifications. The Contractor shall remove and replace 36 manholes along the easement line with new 48'' fiberglass manholes, all in accordance with the plans and specifications. The Contractor shall install 12 new manholes along the easement line with new 48'' fiberglass manholes, all in accordance with the plans and specifications. Contractor to locate and rehabilitate existing sanitary sewer services on the proposed lines by pipe-bursting using 4'' HDPE SDR-11, or remove and replace with SCH 40 PVC, including cleanouts and tap, all in accordance with the plans and specifications. Pre-Construction. Clean and TV approximately 8,296 linear feet of existing sanitary sewer line all in accordance with plans and specifications. Post-Construction. TV approximately 8,296 linear feet of new sanitary sewer line all in accordance with plans and specifications. Contractor shall provide bypass pumping to ensure continued operation of the collection system during the rehabilitation process. CONDITIONS ALONG THE ROUTES The Contractor's attention is called to various physical conditions along the routes as follows. Overhead power lines are located near or within the project site. The Contractor shall notify proper authorities at least 72 hours before construction begins. The Contractor shall take precautions to avoid damage to power lines, foundations, guy wires, and appurtenances. The Contractor shall observe all applicable OSHA and owner requirements while working near the overhead power lines including restriction of height of equipment. Underground utilities exist near or within the project area. During construction the Contractor shall take the necessary precautions to avoid damaging the existing utilities within the limits of the project site. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS The Contractor shall contact Mr. Russel Love at (409)-883-4003 prior to starting any work within the project site.
