The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is requesting qualifications from interested A/E teams to complete a feasibility study to assist in the validation of the fit plan for a PET Cyclotron in the ground floor of the Brain & Spine Hospital (BSH). A fit plan has been completed by OSU WMC Planning which will be shared with the short-listed teams for reference. This study will determine the scope of work and budget for renovation work that will be designed and constructed following study completion. This is a request to study the feasibility of installing a PET Cyclotron and associated support rooms in approximately 10,000 SF of the ground floor of the Brain & Spine Hospital. The space is currently radiology oncology and neuro oncology space and will be renovated to accommodate the required space for the cyclotron manufacturing and support, nuclear medicine and pharmacy, and a theranostic clinic. The interested A/E team will include architectural, MEP, and structural services to complete a study to determine the feasibility of this installation, as well as subsequent costs to accommodate the renovation. The successful A/E team will collaborate with OSU WMC cyclotron vendor while completing the study. A high level of competence for highly technical projects will be important. The contract will be issued through Program Verification only. Upon completion of the feasibility study, the contract may be amended to include Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Document Preparation, Bid and Award Support, Conformed Documents, Construction Administration, Post-Construction, and Additional Services of all types. Interested A/E firms shall assemble their proposals to demonstrate their capabilities in the feasibility study as well as the full project. Upon completion of the feasibility study, the project delivery will be CM-R. The successful A/E will assist with the selection of the Contractor as part of the feasibility study.
