Bids are invited for several items and quantities of work as follows: The Project entails the construction of a 1.6 mgd package Wastewater Treatment Plant complete in place including blowers, waste sludge pumps, sodium hypochlorite storage and feed facilities, electrical building, yard piping, site grading, and all associated work for the proposed construction. This Project is federally funded by a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG). A bid bond in the amount of 5 percent of the bid issued by an acceptable surety shall be submitted with each bid. A certified check or bank draft payable to the City of Freeport or negotiable U. S. Government Bonds (as par value) may be submitted in lieu of the Bid Bond. Provide performance and payment bonds for this Project that fully comply with the provisions of Tex. Gov't Code Chapter 2253. Administration of these bonds will conform to Chapter 2253 and the provisions of the Contract Documents The following are to be named as an additional insured on all insurance policies, except workers' compensation insurance, builder's risk insurance, and the Contractor's professional liability insurance: 1. Attn: David Hunn, PE - Project Manager 11200 Broadway St., Suite 2320 Pearland, TX 77584 Please direct all questions related to the design of this Project to the Q&A Section. The City of Freeport reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. Furnish labor, materials, equipment and incidentals necessary to install swing check valves (external weight and lever) at the locations and size as indicated. Valves shall be designed, manufactured and tested in accordance with American Water Works Association Standards ANSI/AWWA C508.
