Removal (Demo), replacement and construction of existing/new sidewalk, curb, and curb/gutter citywide, which may involve resetting of centerline ties, adjustment of utility covers to grade and replacement of affected traffic loops. Bid Bond 10.00% Payment Bond 100.00% Performance Bond 100.00% The City reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, to waive any informality or irregularity in any Bid received where such waiver is in the best interests of the City, and to be the sole judge of the merits of the respective Bids received including for responsiveness and determination of Bidder's responsibility. The are four districts within the City of Carson (City). The City is soliciting bids from concrete contractors for annual concrete maintenance for each of it's four districts. Due to the level of disrepair, high demand, and the need to address each geographical area concurrently, the City reserves the right to award to multiple bidders based on the capacities of contractor(s). The selected contractor(s) will be awarded a three year contract, with an option to extend 1-year twice (3-1-1). A work order will be provided to the contractor(s) with estimated quantities for items involved. The unit cost for each item will be based on the bid schedule of the selected contractor(s). The City is budgeting three million dollars ($3,000,000) per year for each district for the Annual Citywide Concrete Maintenance LIQUIDATED DAMAGES: Liquidated damages of $1,000/day will apply to this project. See Special Provisions for detailed information on liquidated damages.
