The Project shall be known as 2024 Miscellaneous Projects, Roland Story Community School District, Story City, Iowa. One lump sum bid shall be submitted for the work. The project includes work at the elementary school, middle school, and high school: Elementary School: Addition of a kitchen storage room and single office. Renovation of an office into a seclusion room. Middle School Renovation of two existing restrooms into ADA-compliant restrooms. Renovation of an existing area into a new seclusion room and small instruction room. High School Renovation of the existing high school administrative office and work room, including safety upgrades to the front entry doors and vestibule Upon award of a contract, the successful Contractor will be required to furnish a Performance and Payment Bond equal to 100% of the awarded Contract amount, and within the time set forth within the Contract Documents. The Contractor shall also furnish a copy of their Certificate(s) of Insurance showing coverage is being provided consistent with that stated within the Project Manual. Bid Security in a minimum amount of 5% of the bid in the form of a Bid Bond on form AIA A310, cashier's check or certified check drawn on an Iowa bank chartered under the laws of the United States, shall accompany each bid in a separate, sealed envelope. Bid Security shall be payable to Roland-Story Community School District. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, or any part thereof, and to waive informalities, and to enter into such contract as deemed in the best interests of the Roland-Story Community School District.
