The improvements for the 2023 Road Sealing Project: Phase 2 will generally include striping/marking removal, applying pavement preservation treatments, and traffic striping/pavement marking. The work will take place on 11.3 miles of roadway in Inverness, Woodacre, Strawberry, Pt. Reyes-Petaluma, and San Rafael. One, or a combination, of the following pavement preservation treatments will be utilized on each street: Type II Microsurface, Type III Microsurface, Rubber Cape Seal, Rubber Chip Seal. Question Deadline: 08/24/2023 at 5:00 PM PT A Bid Bond, cash, certified check, or cashier's check, in the amount of 10% of the total bid amount payable to the County of Marin shall accompany the Proposal. The Engineer's estimate for this project is $2,400,000. Bids are required for the entire work described herein. There is no pre-bid meeting scheduled for this project. Contractor and all subcontractors shall pay not less than current prevailing wage rates as determined by the California Department of Industrial Relations ("DIR") to all workers employed on this project. The Board of Supervisors of the County of Marin reserves the right to reject any or all bids and the right to waive any irregularities.
